ApocalypticArt

Hey y'all, you might've noticed that there was basically no activity here from me for over 20 days and the last posts made by [Crul@lemm.ee](/u/Crul@lemm.ee) got barely any votes - seems like a lot of people didn't see them. The "Christmas update" 0.19.1 from Lemmy basically broke the federation from the instance this community runs on. So while this problem was going on, I decided to not do any more posts - it didn't make sense for me to post anything when most of the Fediverse wasn't able to see it. I've decided to repost the last contribution I made here and it successfully went through to lemmy.world, so I suppose everything is back to normal again. Hooray! This means I will continue to post material from now on and hopefully bring this back to its former glory. I hope, Crul will return too, but I don't know yet. I guess it makes sense to use this as a discussion thread for this community - I wanted to open up one for a while, but for some reason I haven't done it yet. What do you think about ApocalypticArt? Are you happy with the content posted here? Do you want to see more of a specific type of art? I try to freshen up the art posted here from time to time and not just stick to [random city ruins] because I feel it might be getting boring after a while. Since I haven't heard any opinions about that yet, I'll continue to do that for now. :) Happy New Year, everyone.

Hello, connoisseurs of the Wasteland! This is the second (and last) reminder for anyone who might've missed it: **Due to ongoing technical issues that are out of our control we have abandoned this instance and moved to another one.** Please subscribe to our new community here on tchncs: !apocalypticart@discuss.tchncs.de See more details on why we’ve moved in our announcement post there: https://discuss.tchncs.de/post/16631703 This community will probably get deleted (voluntarily or involuntarily when feddit.de ultimately dies completely) in a short time.

"In the ruins of an ancient society, seemingly veiled in fog for all hours of the day, a man wanders. The burning man resembles a stereotypical office worker of a past society. The ruins are also from the same time period. Strange how they have not been reduced to rot and dust after hundreds of years. Despite the initial scare, they seem disinterested in anything but walking around the same path around the wreck. " https://www.artstation.com/artwork/14qQeG

"The Cupolas are somewhere in the range of 2,500 to 3,000 years old, but no one knows for sure. They crown the seaside hills, marking underground saline lakes where the Flower grows in abundance -- the pungent, incredibly durable dyes from which the Cupolas were originally painted." https://www.artstation.com/artwork/3dZBrB
