An app requires mobile data from a certain sim. How to bypass this?

I'm abroad and I have a sim-card and app that needs to be activated. For this an app requires a) mobile data b) of that very sim-card

An issue is that I'm far away from the original country and I can't activate a data plan on the sim-card due to a high cost. And it may not even work in the country I'm in.

Is there a way to trick the app somehow? Perhaps, insert a original sim-card and then make it use Wifi or data of other sim-card somehow, on backend?

The app won't get activated if I use data from a local sim-card or Wifi.

My phone isn't rooted.

How to bypass all this nonesense? I need to active it only once, and afterward Wifi may be used.
