Because it's not reasonable, the person is. A person can be reasonable without holding all reasonable beliefs. I'm willing to bet you have misconceptions about the concept of simultaneity that would not hold up if you learned the math behind special relativity, but it doesn't make you unreasonable because you haven't learned the niche weird stuff that happens near the speed of light. just assume that things happen in a certain order because that's what it seems like and don't worry that they can happen in a different order for someone in a different inertial frame of reference.

Yes, you've got it. And it is hand waving bullshit that I absolutely do not agree with, but if you can't incorporate the fact that it's a real thing that a reasonable person can believe then you are under-thinking it.

If something did exist outside of nature, there's no reason you should be able to know about it. Rules of logic wouldn't necessarily apply and it is not something you could reliably apply statistics to.

That's not an AnCap (anarcho-capitalism) sticker it's an anti-capitalisim sticker, but it's obvious you knew that and just mixed up the acronyms so forgive me for being pedantic but it is important for the point I wanted to make. I don't want you to think I forgot the context of the meme, but you shouldn't forget the context of your comment. You have said directly that any apple product, new or used, with an anti-capitalist sticker on it would indicate hypocrisy by the owner. I said that would be a hard position to defend, and then got you to say that your car isn't an example of hypocrisy using the fact that it's used as support. I think that's a solid hit on my point that your argument is difficult to defend because for some reason you get that defense and she doesn't

On the totally separate personal values-driven argument in the context of the meme, anti-capitalist doesn't mean "responsible and frugal capitalism". It means anti-capitalism, and while sure, there's probably some hypocrisy there, the idea that the brand you pick says something about you is absolutely not one of the points they as a movement are making. For hypocrisy you have to show them saying one thing and doing a contrary one. To say that certain specific brands aren't acceptable for people against capitalism is a misunderstand of anti-capitalisim. They all get nationalized and you're still allowed to have cool shit in Star Trek.

You did say new or used isn't a deciding factor. Correct me if I'm wrong, butIt really sounded like you didn't care how old the laptop was. A car is one of the biggest status symbols in modern society and I'd argue that my airpods on the bus laugh at your CR-V on the freeway thinking you're the better socialist. (Sarcasm by the way, my real position is that judging people by their possessions is the real capitalist kool-aid and you're drinking it just as much by buying into the Idea that certain brands put you on "the other team". Also I'm the worst socialist, I can't defend my consumerism in any area except transportation)

It tastes a little like butterscotch, but it also definitely tastes like the instant Mac and cheese that comes from the powder. Like it starts out tasting only like butterscotch, but the cheese slowly builds up in your mouth until that's all you can taste.

My last 3 jobs the company got bought out while I was working there. I've really only had one (non-internship) job where the company didn't get bought and that was a door to door sales job for one summer in high school

"A Silent Voice" (anime movie) is my go-to when I want to feel profound emotions, even if it's crying about the fact that all my friends are hundreds of miles away or dead now and I apparently forgot how to make new ones.

Yeah, I was getting fed up with going out to buy soda without a car, even to the point I tried getting deliveries from a wholesaler, so I went up the soda machine tech tree. Started with a soda stream, tasted like trash and was so expensive. I started buying real soda syrup, still bad, really flat.

I ended up buying a 5lb co2 container that I get refilled at welding supply stores, regulator, tube, and carbonation cap. Finally, great soda, at a good price. Maybe I should have stopped there. But instead I decided to move to a carbonation keg. Pretty easy to set up and only having to fill it once a week was awesome. It took 6 months to tweak everything to where I could get it decently carbonated though. (Have to increase pressure, and decrease temperature which required tons of mods) and it still wasn't quite as good as the carbonation cap.

Finally, I recently bought a "benchy sparkling" which does everything automatically and is a real step up. Again though, I'm still chasing the soda quality from when I just used a carbonation cap to manually carbonate one bottle at a time. Damn it's so convenient though, you don't even know.

You need flux, nothing is broken there, you just burned all the flux out of the solder. What tools do you have on hand? A soldering iron? Solder? A solder wick? Flux?

Yeah, that would solve the biggest problem, which is how annoying it is to hold when you try to use just the drill and grinder.

It's not too bad, I stick with darker roasts and with the smaller dose it's usually under a minute to grind. I'm in a studio, so my drill is actually more accessable now, if a bit harder to hold.

It already runs on a standard screwdriver bit hex, so I was actually pretty surprised that nobody else beat me to it. ![](https://lemmy.world/pictrs/image/5e0fdd7d-4dfc-4f34-b1c7-6eb939749241.jpeg)
