Why does the title need to be worded like that? The worst part is that I've only seen them phrased like this with women celebrities.

Why is online privacy so important?

First, governments already have all the data they want from you. There's no way around that. Second, the more information you have on the internet, the easier it is for someone to take your identity. Look up security breaches and hacks and it will become very obvious since many places put your personal info on the web while guaranteeing your info is safe. Third, there are databases that aren't illegal that store your personal info that people can research to track you down. And it's not originally meant for unscrupulous reasons. These databases were first meant to replace phone books which would post your contact number and address, but those have since been used for shady business. For example, if you get a lot of spam calls, that means you are on an internet database somewhere.

Another example of why it's important is a personal experience. I was deployed, and my parents started getting messages from random people asking for my exact location and what operation I was involved in. They claimed they served with me and they wanted a way to send me mail. They refused and then started getting threats of having my niece and sister taken. When I found out, I got NCIS and the FBI involved and not long after the investigations started, there were no more messages.

Another example I can give to you is what started my perma ban on reddit. I saw the story of a man in Wyoming who accidentally ran a wolf over (the wolf was very injures). So instead of putting it out of it's misery or calling animal services, he paraded the hurt animal around a bar for a few hours before taking it out back and putting it down. I found his phone number on aforementioned databases and posted it on reddit.

The moral of the story is that you are available and findable if you do not take proper steps

  • So I often come here, even though I oppose the idea of saying "fuck cars". And yes, I do know it's not completely literal. However, I understand the logic. With that being said, many people are using cars to be delivery contractors. It's not a necessary utility, but it is useful and is used by the vast majority of (I'll assume) 1st world countries. If vehicle use is reduced, what do you think would be a good strategy to keep this industry going? Yes, bicycles can still be used, but it would take more time, which would raise prices (capitalism). And another obvious solution would be to just do away with it and just go to restaurants. Do you have any opinions beyond those two that solutions I've already presented?

I'd suggest you don't prod. What you're ultimately doing is bullying and I'm sure you don't like it when someone does that to you

  • So I'm very sure the only original things with cooking is the mix of ingredients, So with being said, I wanted to know if there's already a name to this. What I do is take canned tuna, strain it and then add 2 tbsp of flour. I give it a good stir and then let it sit for 20 minutes. Once the 20 minutes is up, I'll throw a raw egg and 3 tbsp of flour and then I'll shake the container so there's a nice doughy layer over the tuna. I'll then fry it at roughly 425°F until golden brown (usually only takes a minute two). I'll remove from the oil and then put over rice or Asian noodles. It's a great lunch and you can add any sauce that you want to it (even though I recommend sweet or Asian sauces). So is there an actual name to the tuna i fried? Or is it just a "wing it" kind of thing?

I am not a Trump supporter. However, the town hall meeting had a medical emergency, which threw the whole groove off. From all the evidence I've seen, I'll give Trump props for seeing it and calling for a doctor on stage. That was the most human thing I ever saw him do (and to be clear there are other examples of this. Not many, but they exist)

    But anyway, I digress...

I suspect the 30 minutes of music was a distraction to the medical emergency and also was supposed to present him as 'fun'. I think after the emergency they just had to fill time and the whole situation just got fucked. IMO, Trump isn't to blame for that weird shit

Edit: I did not watch the entire town hall and have since watched it. The whole thing is an absolute shit show. I fell for the propagated clips to improve his image, but I've since learned that what I originally learned is wrong

Because the electoral college can supercede the popular vote and they have done that in the past. While the electoral college is a thing, the popular vote doesn't matter. in 2016, Hillary Clinton won popular vote (the vote of We, The People) and lost because Trump won the electoral college vote. Your vote doesn't matter if there are officials that are in place to tell you that you're wrong

Wake up at 5:30 then go for a walk. It is recommended to take a 30 min to 1 hour walk in the morning. Also including prep time so I'd say about 15 minutes. So let's say we're at 6:45 now. Wait 90 minutes so now we're at 9:45. Now making americanos at home is also time consuming if it isn't pre prepped or if you don't have a full espresso setup in your home, it could take 30 or 45 minutes and you'd have take it stronger to compensate for the ice melting in the hot cup. So now we're at 10:30. 3 hours of work, 1:30. Lift weights; you can get that done in 30 minutes, but you also have to factor in cleaning yourself up or else you're just going to baste in your own sweat all day until you shower. So I'd give that another 30 minutes. It is now 2:00, you're late for your meetings which removes your "superpower" to say no, you didn't factor in any time to eat lunch, your blood sugar is probably bottoming out because you had a very caffeine rich coffee drink and lifted weights without nutrients, and you're going to feel like garbage until you get food in you.

    Horrible plan

  • So I was a daily smoker and then I would take a rip, and immediately throw up. It would subside after a few hours and I was good for the rest of the day, but I thought it was weird so I stopped smoking for a couple of months, and figured I'd be OK smoking again this weekend. I took 2 hits, and immediately needed to throw up. They weren'tmonster hits nor did I get enough to even make me cough, but as soon as I took the second hit, I had to expell everything. Can someone please give me clarification on what is possibly going on?

Would Yokohama 225/55R16 99V fit on my wheel?

My car is a 2017 VW Jetta. My current tires are Firestone 205/55R16 91H M+S and they desperately need to be changed. Got a friend that works at a junkyard that found previously said tires for me and I want to make sure that they'll fit on the wheel before I waste his time. Will they or won't they?

I think a little clarification is needed. No. I don't actually think everyone there is insane. I don't care about the bans so stop trying to use that. HB enthusiasts coming here and trying to call me out achieves nothing besides proving my point Edit: Feel free to keep trying to brigade me. It's not going to scare me to take this down

I love cooking and I love people loving my cooking. However, I don't like getting told what to do for long term, so working in a kitchen or restaurant is probably a bad position for me. I've given years of thinking about working or running a food truck with a rotating menu. It'd be cool to travel around and see different people a day enjoying my different dishes, but I've never actually heard the everyday ins-and-outs of working in a food truck. What are some experiences (good or bad) working in a food truck that you could share?

So recently learned from my doc that I need to follow a low fodmap diet. It's no big deal as long as I can eat potatoes (so many amazing things you can do with potatoes). I was wondering if anyone had some great low fodmap recipes that I could make that my wife (who doesn't need to follow the diet) and I could enjoy. I'm the cook, so as long as she enjoys it, we're good to go. I just made julienne fries with an egg on top and I found this amazing LFODMAP Louisiana hot sauce that I poured over it all. One of the best brunches Iade since I've had to follow this diet. Edit: Thank you to those who are supportive of medical conditions such as IBS, Crohns, and Celiacs (which are the conditions that should use a low FODMAP diet). Also I'm very appreciative of people who are knowledgeable in the diet that I am referring to FODMAP MEANS fermentable oligosaccharides, disaccharides, monosaccharides and polyols. All the things that are known to trigger reactions in certain GI issues that some people have. It's an important issue because you have serotonin receptors in your GI tract. It can also impact daily life and sleep! However, I'm asking for recipes for low FODMAP diets. I ask very respectfully that if you do comment, please give me a recipe(s) instead of expressing the importance of the diet or that you know what the diet is. Again, respectfully, recipes, please. Stop telling me you know what the diet is.

Videos games aren't supposed to be realistic. I'm not supposed to put myself in the position of a real socom or seal or delta or recons or X18 for that matter. I don't want to.play a video game that represents reality. That's not what video games are about. Video games are supposed to be void of reality. Destiny, baldurs gate, elder scrolls, Mario, metal gear, etc... That's what video gaming is supposed to be. Not real situations that could/would occur like call of duty. CoD is a garbage game and it's offensive for them to remaster the bullshit and then expect people to pay for the bullshit that they couldn't justify having paid for when the game(s] was first released. Do not fall for the Microsoft trap

Hear me out. There's a lot of signs that I see that Tywin is actually trying to help Tyrion. The key moment is when Tywin yells Tyrion that he is worthless and doesn't anywhere near the family or Kings Landing and that he should disappear and do his own thing. Afterwards Tywin forces Tyrion marry Sansa that would have not only secured Lannister and Baratheon support to secure the north, it would have made Tyrion a lord, and a lord to one of the most honest and noble houses in the entire mythos. Tywin never made any claim to another person that his son disgusted him Tye only time he would same something of that sort was in front of Tywin himself. He would always defend him as a Lannister no matter what. Tywin was even well aware of Shay and let it go until the king died. Tywin was calculating and wise. He would know how to talk to his child to guarantee they seek their own path. Another show of this is at Tyrion's trial. Jaime sacrifices what he wants for his brother and Tywin accepts it without hesitation. My theory is Tywin was never meant to hate Tyrion, but knew that Tyrion could be doing greater things than the politics of his house, and wanted Tyrion to be free of the house because that would be the only way. Tywin even tells the story that he was going to throw Tyrion into the ocean, but he didn't. He let him live. He never explains why he let Tyrion live. He just did. Was it love for your child? I think so. I don't believe Tywin wanted the same life for Tyrion, but thanks to Cersei, Tyrion was just pushed too far

Let me preface this by saying I am a man, and smoked a little too much, so I'm sitting here thinking... what is or was the original purpose of a bra? Weight support? Vanity? Covering the nips so people's eyes met your eyes and you can have a normal conversation? Like what's it all about?

The name of the article is "The Measure of Online Disinhibition (MOD): Assessing perceptions of reductions in restraint in the online environment" It's essentially a study of the drop of human inhibitions while communicating with people online and the potential causes and impacts. It highlights that people tend to treat others more harshly on the internet I personally feel this is important because witg enough studies and attention, we as internet users can begin to change how we treat others
