Yeah I’m with you, the only time I had fun playing Dota was back in the day when I was playing with friends who weren’t toxic. I know it’s not the only game with that problem but it’s a shame!
A bit of context for anyone who hasn’t played Dota 2: Here a player (Rainino) is telling another player (Gh) that he’s good at the character he played (ES/Earth Spirit) but not nearly good enough to compete at the biggest Dota 2 tournament in the world (TI/The International). Gh then replies that if the other player were to check their game there is a digital copy of the tournament’s trophy with his name on it since he was on the team that most recently won at the time (with a shared prize pool of over $10,000,000). This screenshot was posted by Rainino themselves on the Dota 2 subreddit but I thought it fit perfectly here!

Just to add to this, I also like to use the “donate for a friend” option to gift friends a donation to Signal on their birthdays. It’s also $5 but a one-off thing, they get a neat badge for 60 days and perhaps it raises awareness of the donation option a little bit!

Thanks a lot for sharing this! Decky plugins often break after a Steam OS update, which is understandable, but a bootloop is more trouble than I’m looking for right now…

Thanks for the heads-up! For anyone that’s confused like I was, turns out this is the same game as Bloodborne Kart, just changed enough for legal purposes. Considering it started out as an April Fool’s joke, it seems really high quality so far and I’m appreciating all the Bloodborne references!

Wow, thanks for setting that up! Just ordered an A4 print :)

Could you accept a world where someone does it intentionally as a joke?

I really like this! Do you sell prints anywhere online or anything like that?

It seems that Spotify doesn't accurately count plays for tracks under 30 seconds. I had a look through some of the albums I know of with short tracks and here's what I found:
- Humanz - Gorillaz / Most popular track: 214m plays vs 11 second interlude: 1,185 plays
- Absolution - Muse / Most popular track: 259m plays vs 22 second intro: 32,174 plays
- California - Blink 182 / Most popular track: 158m plays vs 16 second track: 42,616 plays
- 3 Feet High and Rising - De La Soul / Most popular track: 12m plays vs 17 second track: 1,117 plays
- The Eminem Show - Eminem / Most popular track: 1.9b plays vs 22 second track: 42,050 plays
In fact I found the MGMT album 11•11•11 has a 26 second long track with no reported plays.
So while it's probably true that people are listening to fewer full albums than they used to in the days of vinyl or CD, it seems more likely to do with Spotify only paying royalties on tracks over 30 seconds and the discussion surrounding that.

Am I blind or are none of these actually offered by Proton themselves?

I’m glad this is being brought up. As the article mentions, one of the affected games was the Ghost Trick remaster which received a 5.6GB update with no explanation. It was only through data mining that people realised Denuvo was removed in favour of Enigma.
The worst part for me is that Enigma lives up to its name and people have been left guessing about where it’s coming from. Some people think it’s Capcom’s in-house DRM while others are linking it to some Russian company with the same name that Capcom may have partnered with.
As I understand, this DRM has already been cracked so it’s not even stopping people who want to pirate the game. On the other hand, I love Ghost Trick and I wanted to buy gift copies for some friends over Christmas but this move really put me off.

Yeah I’m not sure if they’re in a different region or something but Slay the Spire is also definitely not < $2 for me - I wish it was!

I think we’re looking at the same video then, the one with less than 10,000 views after 24 hours. Yeah that video isn’t a real trailer, it’s just using recycled clips from the first film and guessing what might happen in the second one

I have no idea what the context for the photo is but I assumed they wanted their printed paper signed

You’re right about the sequel being announced but do you have a link to the trailer? The only videos and articles I can find still seem to be speculative.

Pretty sure it’s a joke based on the way the headline was written which makes it ambiguous whether the 12 year old was in the forklift or whether the police chasing him were in the forklift.

I don't mean to be rude since this seems like a good script and it's really cool that you were able to get ChatGPT to help. I just find the idea of people writing code they don't understand using an LLM, publishing it, and then expecting someone else to check that it's safe a little bit troubling. Credit to you, you've been transparent about that being the case but it got me thinking about other developers who might not be so upfront.

If you enjoy rhythm games, [Melatonin](https://store.steampowered.com/app/1585220/Melatonin/) is worth looking into. It’s like Rhythm Heaven but with a lo-fi, mellow feel. What makes me want to recommend it here specifically is that the game has a custom display setting calibrated for the Steam Deck’s screen which I thought was really cool! The game itself isn’t that long and can be beaten in a couple of hours but there are of course harder difficulties and perfect scores to aim for which add some replay value. I personally really enjoy the soundtrack which helps too since it does feel a bit too short otherwise. If you enjoy the aesthetic, but struggle with rhythm, the game also has accessibility modes that help you to get better with the timing instead of just skipping the level entirely. - Steam Deck Verified ✅ - [ProtonDB](https://www.protondb.com/app/1585220) rating: Platinum - [How Long To Beat](https://howlongtobeat.com/game/109178) (Main Story): 2 hours - [Biggest Steam sale discount](https://isthereanydeal.com/game/melatonin/history/?shop[]=steam&generate=Select+Stores) (3 months): -20% (current)
Hi everyone, I'm really grateful for this community but I wanted to see more content here so I thought I'd try to keep the ball rolling myself. My intention here isn't to reveal some obscure hidden gems but to share my experiences with games from my library that I enjoy specifically on the Steam Deck. If people like this kind of content I plan to share more games over time and hopefully inspire others to do the same! Today's focus is the game GRIS. You can find it on Steam here: https://store.steampowered.com/app/683320/GRIS/ - Steam Deck Verified ✅ - [ProtonDB](https://www.protondb.com/app/683320) rating: Gold - [How Long To Beat](https://howlongtobeat.com/game/62257) (Main Story): 3.5 hours - [Biggest Steam sale discount](https://isthereanydeal.com/game/gris/history/?shop%5B%5D=steam&generate=Select+Stores) (3 months): -75% - Size on disk: 3.25GB - Battery drain after 30 mins (max brightness, WiFi off, 60fps): 8% - Single Player - Full controller support This game is a beautiful, tranquil puzzle platformer. Every frame of the game feels like artwork and even in handheld mode the game looks stunning. I will say that on the Deck's screen size, it can be a little bit hard to see the character at times and the game really thrives when hooked up to a bigger screen. Gameplay is slow paced with a focus on exploration and puzzle solving so it may not be to everyone's liking but it's worth checking out if you are looking for a more relaxed experience and enjoy the art style!
This is probably old news to most people but I'm posting here in case it helps anyone else! Turns out there's a power management setting you can disable that really improved the wireless reliability for me. You first have to enable Developer Mode in Settings > System. Then you should see a new menu right at the bottom of the settings list called *Developer*. Under *Miscellaneous* you should see the option *Enable Wifi Power Management*. Turning this off completely solved the problems I was having with Wifi being either really slow or dropping out completely to the point where it was almost unusable.
