The Neology group buy is live. These are OEM drives with the warranty through Neology. Prices are cheaper than what he's got on his site and there are bulk discounts available.

Pretty much. But he's been around since 2010 organising group buys. For nearly half the price I'm willing to bet on him being around for at least three more years.

Could you please elaborate? What about WD?

Downloaded Tachiyomi since Mahoro-chan isn't managing to pick up all the SJ titles and I'm not going back to reddit. Discovered Tokyo Underworld and Kuchi ga Saketemo.

Yeah, the person who recommended me this site did mention that Neology used to be active on Ozbargain and ebay before setting up their site. Iirc I was told they source their HDDs in bulk from Hong Kong which goes some way to explaining the price difference. That's also why the warranty is with Neology and not Seagate/WD.

My drives came in and they work fine. Spun up and reported the correct size. Passed a Wiztree test too. They are a bit "clicky" though. I guess that's a characteristic of enterprise drives. Luckily I have a case with a lot of sound dampening.

Just placed the order a few days ago so haven't gotten them yet. The person that recommended the site to me has bought several and they work. It's cheap because the store bulk buys OEM drives so the warranty is through them instead of Seagate/WD.
Got recommended this store for cheap HDDs recently. They sell enterprise HDDs at near wholesale rates so they're almost half the price per TB. Just picked up a couple of 16TB drives for like $800.

Damn, Microsoft killed another bot. We can't keep allowing this to happen. Remember Tay!
Leyana 1y ago • 100%
I prefer having the bot around because it allows me to quickly filter out all mangaplus updates just by checking the bot's profile. Reddit allowed you to filter by domain, which lemmy can't. It's annoying having to go post by post to check the mangaplus updates.
I think making the mangaplus posts exclusive to the bot is even more important as the community grows lest it become a race to rep farm the moment a chapter is released.

Itadakimasu.
If anyone is in the market for a new pc, this is decent. A bit short on storage but hey, 3060Ti.

A bot similar to AutoShonenpon would be nice. I relied on that to keep up to date with shounen plus titles.

The reason why they were banned from reddit is that they were stuffed full with ads and the subreddit didn't want to be a party to people profiting off piracy. Scanlation is already sketchy enough.

Sorry, but another question. Is it normal that I can't see old replies?
This is how I see https://aussie.zone/c/manga@lemmy.ml:
But this is how the same post appears on https://lemmy.ml/c/manga:

Ah I see, that makes sense and that worked. The community also showed up in the search results as a single line that wasn't very prominent.
The comments containing "https://lemmy.ml/c/manga" were more obvious.
Really need to have the search results delineated by category. Especially since the search defaults to "all".
https://aussie.zone/c/manga@lemmy.ml ostensibly exists. Searching for the specific community !manga@lemmy.ml on my home instance shows "no results" and trying to access the full URL gives me "404: couldnt_find_community". I'm not exactly sure what to do to get it "federated over to aussie.zone". Need help.
It was a combination of /r/buildapc and /r/bapcsales with a focus on helping Australians.
