The Night House is a really good horror/thriller, I don't recall it having any gore.
The Menu is phenomenal, but does have a bit of blood and gore.
I don't think I saw anyone mention Get Out, a fantastic movie.
I'm not a big movie guy, but these were some of my faves (along with Evil Dead, which have been mentioned a ton already 🙂)

I thought he pulled a stool out and did a little trick, then did it again.

This city is up a mountain, dude. Some of the people hit hard are in some extremely rural areas, well outside town limits.
I have some friends in Asheville. I'll be sure to scold them for not doing enough to fix their city.

The menu one is specifically so restaurants don't get sued when they accidentally serve you raw products or food you're allergic to.
I suppose that makes us litigious, which is pretty weird and sad.

I just got a deck last week and I'm loving it so far. Been playing Castle Crashers again (here's hoping the new update comes out soon!) as well as Baldur's Gate 3 with my wife, which runs incredibly well surprisingly.

Eirika Ishii mentioned!! They're great, I'm not a Ghosts fan but I'll be excited to see their full performance once the game comes out.

I'm currently on season 3 of Silicon Valley, and the first season of Initial D.
I'm loving Silicon Valley but boy Richard sure is incompetent sometimes huh? It's so frustrating sometimes but man does Mike Judge know how to satirize that entire industry and culture.
Initial D is also really good. A friend got me to watch it. I'm not even a car guy but it's making me want to play driving games.

Every time I see this opinion being shared I just imagine a tiny, angry Tim Sweeney throwing a tantrum because Valve bad. Why? Because... Because I said so, okay?!

If you haven't played this one yet, I highly recommend it. Very good visual novel.

I am from Greensboro and it really isn't that bad. I have no clue what happened with these people.

You guys stumbled upon Raëlism! A cult that originated in France. I have firsthand experience. I met a "Raelian Guide" at a convention and gave a presentation on his religion. They mention the topless stuff, and they're also anti-genital mutilation. But they also wish to reclaim the Swastika as a symbol of peace and love.
During this presentation, the guide, in talking about reclaiming the Swastika, "it was traditionally a symbol of peace and love, but you all wouldn't learn about that in our Jewish controlled education system. " (Word for word what he said in front of 100~ people)
They're, uhh, Nazis.

My least favorite app from my least favorite corporation. I have to use Visio every day for work, and it's a clumsy, buggy mess. You'd think a bajillion dollar company like Microsoft could put out a decent program. You'd think.

Obviously the substance of the post is important but I did do a double take at his name, remembering that yes, this is indeed Robert Reich, former US secretary of labor, father of Sam Reich, a silly little man who makes his cast play silly little games.
The rule could be anything, as funny or as serious as you want. The universe will progress in a similar way that it has up until this point, unless your changed rule prevented it from doing so. Some examples might be: - The invention of currency is not allowed. - Iron is slightly less stable. - The Ancient Greeks are able to cultivate Silphium, which does not go extinct now.
Those who don't identify as a fella also welcome to answer! I'm getting tired of my wallet and I'm hoping to get some new ideas. Current EDC is my phone, wallet, and keys on a lanyard. Whatchu got? Edit: I ought to be a little more specific with my EDC, since most people are kindly taking the time to do so. Phone: Pixel 8 Pro Wallet: bulky leather wallet, I don't even remember the brand, I've had it so long. Keys: a stylized lanyard with various house keys, car key fob, and a keychain that reads "I hope your day is as good as my butt" from my wife. I have to keep that, you understand. Misc: Burt's Bees chapstick, Listerine breath strips, and occasionally a utility knife depending on my destination.
>“We want to acknowledge some feedback received regarding our Juneteenth celebration,” Pezzuto said in his letter obtained by The North Carolina Beat. “Although our intent was to celebrate this nationally recognized day, some of you voiced your concerns regarding the associated food choices.” In other words, we're sorry you were offended.
More specifically, are we seeing companies breached due to their (obvious?) security flaws, hackers getting better at what they do, or a combination of both? What is the future of security for these large companies that we put our trust into that our data is safe?
(Picture alt text: a screenshot of my phone's call log, with numbers redacted (just in case). The phone numbers (except for one) are all spam calls) I'm not sure if this is the correct place for this, but I am at my limit with these. Constantly throughout the day I get spam call after spam call. I constantly report them to Google (I've got a Pixel 5, if it matters), yet nothing changes. This has been happening for months. These calls will also leave the exact same, completely silent, 4-second voicemails. I will block and report spam, but you know how it is. There's no way to turn voice mail notifications off, and I wouldn't necessarily want to, because I know I'd miss something genuine or important. What do I do? Is there anything I can do, beyond changing numbers? Even then, I'm sure a new number would exist in some database somewhere and be victim to more spam calls. This is heinous. Thanks for reading. I'm just so frustrated. Edit: this got a lot more attention than I anticipated. I appreciate the suggestions for different spam blockers and settings! It's also nice knowing I'm not alone. Hopefully, at least in the US, we'll get some real legislation eventually that will kill these spam calls once and for all.
Another favorite of mine. 🙂
Probably my favorite as of recent.
