Looks like I've managed to escape a nightmare. Was thinking of purchasing one of their Laptops recently.

Is moving to IPv6 worth it?

IPv6 is the future so I'd say yes. Dual stack is the way to go. If you can get public address block from your ISP thats great. If not I'd recommend HE tunnel or something similar. Just remember to firewall as ever device is reachable in most configurations.

I'm also having these issues using the lemmy.world front end in Firefox. Would upload some screenshots but sadly I get a Json error when attempting. Info that may assist the admins: Using Firefox on Ubuntu. Receive a lot of 502 bad gateway errors Using IPv4/6 I suspect my connection is preferring IPv6.

I'm happy to send my IP to !ruud@lemmy.word if that helps.

    Norwich Community

It's great to see a Norwich community. I set up a Norwich community at lemmy.world/c/norwich. However I'm happy to blow that one away if this one attracts more people.

May I suggest mailinabox.email for easy email administration. I've been using it for a long time and it manages the hard bits :).

Sorry I can't comment on Infomaniak I've never used them.

[Question] Does anyone run their own email server?

I've been running the families mail server for over 6 years now. I'm using mailinabox.email scripts to setup and manage the server.

I've not had any problems (touch wood) with email delivery. You may have issues if your domain is new, it can take a few days for the big guys to accept email from you.

I say go for it, I think too many are worried about deliverbility and that just causes more centralisation.
