ESPN NFL 2K5, and All-Pro Football 2K8 were very ahead of their time. In many areas, Madden has still failed to catch up to these titles.

Signal is my go to. Some of my friends refuse to download it, so I just text them. I'll use iMessage on iOS and Google Messages on Android. But if I can use Signal, I will
I always thought Jerry was underrated. He wasn't great, but he was solid and never the problem with those terrible offensive lines near the end of Eli's career

Those users aren't intelligent enough to understand what the Fediverse is, why they should use it, or even how to sign up.

No repost bots, karma farming, or idiots (mostly). The learning curve to joining the fediverse filters out your average facebook/twitter type that Reddit is filled with today. Lemmy right now is how Reddit was a decade ago

It's too tiring going back and forth with these types of Reddit users. I gave up and just chill here

Why shut it down? This isn't Reddit... if someone else wants to mod it instead, they should. A major draw of a decentralized platform is that it gives users options.
Having an "official" community misses the point of decentralization entirely...

Well, everything else I said stands. You're on Beehaw, so none of that affects you. I could migrate my account there if it became an issue. Lemmy as an overall platform should still be recommended imo, because there are so many instances to join instead.

I disagree with the feditips account. I think he's pushing people away from lemmy rather than the specific instance. I've had no issues on lemmy.ml and the mods here have been great. I'm pretty sure he's just referring to lemmygrad. And like the other user who replied to you said, you could always make a new instance or join another. The political opinions of the devs means nothing if the platform is decentralized. Unlike Reddit, they don't have power over the entire platform, just whatever instance they host, just like if I made an instance, which I can, I have complete power over it.

This is making our switch to Lemmy feel quite justified, isn't it? Although even if Reddit was still in good shape I think the potential of a decentralized platform is much better. I probably would have migrated here whether this shitstorm happened or not.

I'm loving it so far. It's snappy and has no bloat. Just a solid, familiar and well made OS

How can voters show demand for non-corrupt candidates if their only options to vote on are corrupt candidates? How can we change this?

I think the end goal would be AR/VR built into your glasses that are as light as current day glasses. We are probably a long time away from that, but I feel like most VR headsets right now are beta versions of this end goal.

But what if every option is corrupt?
[Box score here](https://www.nba.com/game/MIA-vs-DEN-0042200402/box-score). Who's going to win the series? Jokic had a huge game yet the Nuggets lost. Seems like Miami's defensive gameplan is to let Jokic score and lock everyone else up.
I've dabbled with Linux over the years, first with Ubuntu in the early 2010s, then Elementary OS when that dropped, and a few years ago I really enjoyed how customizable the gui was with Xubuntu. I was able to make it look just like WIndows 2000 which was really cool. Which current distro has the best GUI, in your opinion? I find modern Ubuntu to feel a little basic and cheap. I guess I don't really like modern Gnome. I'm currently using Windows 10 LTSC which is probably the best possible version of Windows, but I'd jump to linux if I could find a distro with a gui that feels at least as polished and feature rich as Windows 10 LTSC.
Let's get this community going! I am a fan of the New York Football Giants, and I'm hoping for another fun season now that Danny got some weapons.
