The trans depiction in S3 can be a bit sketchy at best in my opinion but it is very much an early 2000s anime, has this vibe that you just can't get these days.

It's been 120 days since I started giving a shit and the last month I've really started struggling more but I've been going with it at a slower pace, gone are the weeks of 3 pound losses and now it's more like 1 pound. I did hit a new low today crossing another pound marker now at 33 pounds lost. I wanted to start doing walks in the evenings with my mother as a way to just add some exercise in but getting motivated is difficult after a full day of work. I've started only using the elevators for my way into work which isn't a ton but it's something.

I remember reading a while back that after the travesty of the localization of Pom Poko Miyazaki refused to let them change the script because how much they disrespected the film.

Especially with some aspects of the film they added things to try to make it a bit easier to understand for western audiences, like when she first sees the bathhouse, in Japan nobody would need it spelled out, but in the west it does so in the dub she says "it's a bathhouse." It's likely dumbed down more since in the US animation=children.

It's a spoiler in a story where spoilers can legitimately ruin your experience, but you'll notice it in the theming as the story progresses.

3. Umineko no Naku Koro ni - The story focuses on a group of eighteen people on a secluded island for a period of two days, and the mysterious murders that befall them. Readers are challenged to discern whether the murders were committed by a human or some other, supernatural source, as well as the method and motive behind them.

4. 10/10 - amazing

It made decent enough second monitor viewing while playing minecraft but I never felt the magic where other people were super into it. It just felt like pretty generic high school love comedy stuff with a different approach to it. I have to assume the social awkwardness just resonated with a bunch of people.

The most infamous of the bunch is SBF of the FTX fraud fame. Essentially their entire schtick is that they have to become ultra wealthy so they can donate more money and thus be more effective with their altruism. They usually end up working finance and arguing that since they make a lot of money and their donations are bigger they're better off than if they were doing a more useful job and not giving even a small portion of what they were.

It's just as useful there

When I first moved into this neighborhood we had a Bottom Dollar, then Aldi bought them out and closed almost all of them getting rid of the closest grocery store that served a fair amount of the community. There was one like another 5 minutes away or another one 10 minutes away on arterial streets. Then the one that was 5 minutes away closed after it was sold and the only reason it's a grocery store today is because the previous owners insisted the buyer had to make it a grocery store, otherwise you'd just have a food desert for a lot of the immediate vicinity that had the poorest families in the city.

Dollar General moved into where that original Bottom Dollar grocery store was and was the only convenient place to get food for a few years if you didn't have a car. There's another Dollar General 10 minutes up the road where a Dollar Tree used to be. There's yet another probably another 7 minutes away from that second one, after that I couldn't tell you since they're fucking everywhere and there's probably 3 I'm not even aware of because I just don't turn right at a certain intersection.

I sorta felt this when I lived in Japan going from a sorta urban environment to a farm and back on my commute home and going on the roads that had the plants right next to it was obviously more humid on those really warm days.
