TIL that DVDs could even be regionally locked. That's annoying.

No, I setup a MacOS VM on my home Linux server using docker-osx which runs a bluebubbles server. It doesn't use Matrix.

This is cool but I'm happy self hosting bluebubbles.

The weight issue is why I'm looking forward to (hopefully) seeing the Aptera make it to production. Being super aerodynamic and lighter weight so that it can charge up to 40 miles a day on solar alone. Lithium batteries would be better suited for this form factor.

That appears to be running Android tho 😄 (granted Gingerbread, a very old version) but I don't think that counts as a "dumb" phone haha

Just wish modern devices still had easily removable back covers without needing pry tools and hair dryers.

Do you still use an iPhone? I switched to Android after 4 years with my iPhone 5 and still use Android today.

If I'm home, I use just one towel and keep using it for like a week or two. If I'm in a hotel, they usually have so many towels so I'll use the whole variety and fresh ones each day. It's nice, but too lazy to constantly be washing towels when I'm home lol.

Yep! Could even use the tiny outside display as a viewfinder!

This small form factor running Android would be very cool! Despite a small screen, it'd probably work well enough since you wouldn't have a software keyboard taking up 50% of the screen real estate. The e-ink keyboard is a good compromise of having dynamic changing keys but still have the tactile feedback.

That little camera module looks like it actually took decent pics based on the sample on the wiki. Esp considering it's from 2002.

Oh ya I remember wanting that one a lot! I think it was too expensive for me at the time, so ended up with the alias 2 but I envied anyone who had one of those.
I rocked a Samsung Alias 2 for 4 years before I got an iPhone 5. The e-ink keyboard was awesome how it changed when you flipped the screen open to portrait or landscape.
