In the city I live in, the oldest building is from ~1280. It was rebuilt quite a bit in 1767 though. It has housed restaurants since the 1930s. I pass it every day almost on my lunch walk :)

Yep, I know. I've tried to figure out a sound reasoning about this. I do not approve of cruel punishments. Living with the knowledge of the pain you caused is a good punishment . Death is an easy out, never said anything about torture, I don't approve of that.

Did some dirt road riding. It was more of a set of tracks next to a field to be honest. It's sooo hard to take it easy, since it's still in the breaking in period, but I'm careful. Only ridden like 400km since I brought it home, due to the weather. Ain't she perdy? 😃 
Rode my brand new Moto Guzzi V85TT Travel '22 home from the dealer yesterday. It was around 0°C. I'm very glad my new bike has heated grips 😃. The visor got so cold that my breath caused perspiration on the pinlock. But now it's home, finally! Bought it in November.
Dino is a big guy, but he was more obese when we got him. Slowly moving to a healthy weight. But there's a long way to go. He's physically large as well, he's just big boned! Carrying him is like carrying a human baby lol

Turkiet har godkänt Sveriges Natoansökan. Det står klart efter en omröstning i det turkiska parlamentet på tisdagskvällen. Av 346 röster var 287 för ett svenskt Natomedlemskap och 55 emot, resten avstod. Omröstningen föregicks av en cirka fyra timmar lång debatt om Sveriges medlemskap. Under debatten lyftes bland annat koranbränningarna och att terrorister tillåts vandra fritt på Stockholms gator, men det hördes även mer positiva tongångar. Till exempel argumenterade utrikesutskottets ordförande, Fuat Oktay, från president Recep Tayyip Erdogans parti AKP, i sitt anförande för ett svenskt medlemskap eftersom Sverige stöttar Turkiets strävan att bli EU-medlem och att Sverige nu arbetar mer aktivt för att bekämpa terrorism. Två år sedan ansökan I maj är det två år sedan Sverige och Finland gemensamt ansökte om medlemskap i Nato, och i april är det ett år sedan Finland blev Natomedlem. För Sverige har dock processen varit allt annat än friktionsfri då Turkiet och Ungern dragit ut på sina godkännanden. Efter dagens omröstning i det turkiska parlamentet står det dock klart att Sverige nu är bra mycket närmare att bli medlem i försvarsalliansen. För att Turkiet som helhet ska godkänna Sverige som Natomedlem krävs dock fortfarande att president Erdogan formellt ratificerar ansökan. Ungern kvar Om Erdogan väl skriver under dokumentet betyder det att Ungern står kvar som sista Natomedlem att inte ha ratificerat Sveriges ansökan – något man upprepade gånger sagt att man inte tänker vara. Tidigare i dag mottog Sveriges statsminister Ulf Kristersson (M) ett brev från Ungerns premiärminister Viktor Orbán. ”Jag bjuder in er att komma till Ungern så snart ni har möjlighet för att utbyta åsikter inom alla områden, inklusive våra komplexa bilaterala relationer, och vårt framtida samarbete inom ramen för säkerhet och försvar som allierade och partner”, skriver Orbán bland annat. Utrikesminister Tobias Billström vill dock inte svara på om statsministern kommer att åka till Ungern för ett möte med Viktor Orbán
