It was nice going into it without knowing anything ahead of time. It felt like a proper Doctor Who episode and I loved it.

I grew up in South East Asia, and mangoes here are the best. I tried "western" mangoes and they're trash. I feel sad for people who can't experience eating "proper" mangoes. Although I feel it's the same way for me if we talk about grapes, peaches, berries, etc.

Truth! Unless they come straight from the tree, this is the way to go.

Love kiwis but I get some kind of allergic reaction whenever I eat them.

I guess the takeaway is that, the more accessible a fruit is, the better it tastes. Shipping things really alters the taste and freshness somewhat.

Maybe pear has a chance but I've never had a draginfruit that comes close to mangoes.

Rambutan in great. But I don't think it comes close to mangoes' level.

Isn't the fruit to seed ratio bad?

Shock for the Secret Seven. It's a kid's book that was given to me by my godfather. It was the book that made me fall in love with reading.

Thanks! I was indifferent of the gold caseback when I got this so no. Having a plain one works for me though since I live in a very humid country and I don't want to worry too much about it deteriorating.
I may get a 44GS one down the line with a gold medallion, but replace it with an aftermarket see-through one.

Still using the 3A and it's still OK. I'm a fan of Pixel phones (used Nexus phones before that), and I usually use them until they stop working, then I buy the latest model. I think I still have a year with this one.

Thanks! Trying to consolidate now and limit my watches to 3 excluding heirlooms.

It's too expensive to have a kid in Japan. There aren't enough childcare to take care of the kids so one parent usually ends up staying home, making household income low.
Japan can't fix this by having bandage solutions like paying couples to have children, or subsidizing deliveries or schools. Yes, they help, but only in the short term. Prospective parents will think about long term prospects and opportunity cost in having kids. Japan has change the whole system to make it work for couples to have kids.

Am I missing something or is posting from the community not working? Whenever I try, it shows 'Coming Soon'. But obviously, other people can submit a post (unless they're not using Sync altogether).

That's great! I was actually surprised with the amount of responses this got but it's really opened me to a lot of great content on YouTube. I've been coming back to this too and trying a bunch of recommendations. 😊

Filipino living in Singapore, married to a Japanese:
Philippines - Facebook Messenger (they love Facebook there) Singapore - WhatsApp (everyone uses it here, especially businesses, so it's hard not to have it installed) Japan - Line (I think it's because of the stickers and emojis?)

Love Wristwatch Revival. Almost makes me want to learn watchmaking.
Kind of tired watching trash from YT. Edit: Thanks for all the replies. It's good to see that there are still gems in YouTube.

Yeah, it's a hassle to sell. Another option is of someone is willing to trade the watch you want with some of your pieces. But be prepared to lose some money.
Hi everyone. I recently decided I really didn't like owning a lot of watches, and for my upcoming 40th birthday, decided to consolidate into this Rolex Explorer 114270 from 2017. I've always liked Rolexes from the early 2000s as I feel like they're a good combination of vintage and modern. This watch really wears comfortably like my old Tudor Prince Date Day, plus it has the tooly charm of my Sinn 556i. I think I've finally found the watch that is "me": simple, dependable, understated (for a Rolex), and a bit boring.

Jay White is such a good talker and everyone in the group is really douchey, I love them!
Hello, I thought I would contribute to the community by posting a photo of my Sarb033. The watch comes in a great size, with decent finishing, water resistance, and power reserve. And even with a few drawbacks like the lack of micro-adjustments in the clasp and lack of AR coating in the crystal, I think you can't go wrong with this watch if you're looking at a great overall daily wearer - especially if you can get it at a decent price.
