It did make me uncomfortable, but that scene didn't have that specific vibe that you might see elsewhere. I think it was actually meant to evoke discomfort, although not too intense because of the absurdity of the whole situation. I don't know how to describe it exactly, but the flavour of discomfort is different. I have dropped other shows because it just weirded me out too much.

Basically I want to believe that this isn't the author/artist's weird interests being forced in and just non-sexualized artistic expression, but I haven't read the source material so idk how the rest of the anime is gonna go.

Ame telling the antis to drop dead was the last thing I was expecting to see... which is my mistake because I should have seen it coming but oh well.

The animation is so smooth, I wonder if they did rotoscoping for the movements. The black and white really brings out the body horror. It really captures the Junji Ito vibe perfectly.

Definitely one of my favourites of the season! All the characters are great, the animation is so lively and the story is a perfect mix of funny and serious. This anime is going in my special list.

Putting aside the animation quality (or lack thereof), I thoroughly enjoyed this anime from start to finish.

I recognised a lot of the things shown, especially in this episode, that I've experienced in my own life with me as well as people I know. I was worried about the representation when I first started the show but it completely blew away all my expectations. The author clearly knows what they're doing.

Makoto is really strong. Self-confidence is hard but he really nailed it. How greedy, which is very fitting lol (the op has been given the honour of being in some of my special playlists).

I see a fan translation on Mangadex and an official English version on Webtoon. I'm gonna go with the fan translation because it's further ahead and the scanlators have a really good track record.

The moment I saw this panel I knew how this would play out and I have to say...

... how tf did Kamiki not see this coming‽ Like seriously, for someone exuding so much confidence in his understanding of other people, he sure as shit made a massive blunder here.

Knowing Aka-sensei, this could go any number of ways.

• The next chapter shows a news report of their deaths and that's basically the end.
• Aqua ends up at the hospital in critical condition and-
  • Dies eventually and dramatically.
  • Survives and gets a happy ending. (prayge)

Dying by falling off a cliff has a certain vibe. I guess no one can resist the allure of the Reichenbach fall.

I'm 100% certain that they're going to adapt the whole thing. I can't wait for season 3.

This is the kind of show where I don't really like any of the main characters but I still think they're entertaining. This whole thing works because of how messy it is so the moment that's resolved, the story ends.

I think the biggest reason I actually liked the show is because it knows it's cringe and wears it like a badge of honour.

Teenager? I was a teenager once. They locked me in a room. A classroom. A classroom with teenagers. And teenagers make me crazy.

I don't think I'll check out the source material but if there's a season 2 I'll most likely watch it.

I was expecting to enjoy some isekai trash when I first saw the title. Then I kept going just because I loved the ed. This anime is surprisingly good. I didn't know much about Dazai before but after reading more about him, I'm really interested in checking out some of his work.

Masachika busted?? Maybe Alya was too caught up in the moment to notice.

I waiting so long and I have to say, I thoroughly enjoyed the anime. It's not all romance and comedy, the debates were really well written and I loved the mind games.

When Yuki started analysing Masachika's cheap provocation, I knew it was over. That whole segment flowed so well and I love how well they communicated that indirectly by tying all the lead up to it together.

I'll get around to reading the LNs one of these days, just wanna catch up to Classroom of the Elite and Tsukimichi first.

I also haven't properly looked at all the upcoming anime. I think I'll comment on the pinned thread on the weekend. I noticed some bangers coming out.
