It’s just as shocking to me but after doing .NET Core dev (on my Mac) I can’t imagine going back to Java. .NET feels actually more modern (almost sane Scala-like)

Basically showing that “abstinence only” approaches are rarely the correct approach. I went from smoking -> vaping -> pouch -> nothing. It was a long journey but it worked.

I’m using Mlem on my iPhone and even the early beta is better than the official Reddit app
I notice on some posts I look at them through my instance and see less comments than if I go to the page on the instance of the post. Is this expected? I never really quite understood how it works but makes me wonder how much I’m seeing

Yes, I have been a social media lurker just because I felt like there was some nefarious corporate entity trying to profit off my engagement, but it is nice to feel “free” here. Fediverse is the real Web3!

They are just like large comment threads, it kinda works but it’s not great (maybe mastodon clients can improve it?)
