Ah yes, I also enjoy playing easier maps but with mods like Double Time, Hard Rock and Hidden, they make it challenging but still pleasant to play

I don't really enjoy button mashing either and prefer jump maps or something that just feels nice to tap to, I don't have a map in mind to recommend but maybe you can scan through my profile since I farmed most it that way.
I quickly came up with this project idea and implemented it in roughly 2 days, there's more stuff i wanna create and improve in the far future but for now it gets the job done.
Bot is down for a little bit due to vps issues so I'm gonna post what's been going on

thanks, I also plan to make it subscribe to osu!lazer's changelogs in the near future

Ah sorry about that, I kind of rushed the android build and built it in the old deprecated apktool method instead of using the official sdk tools. I'll soon automate it via github actions and build a proper package.
Just a heads up that I created a new [bot](https://reddthat.com/u/osu_news) that checks the [osu! news feed](https://osu.ppy.sh/home/news) for new entries and posts them here. I used to keep posting those articles myself but I quickly got tired and started rarely posting any, so now I have automated it and hopefully it contributes to grow this community. For anyone interested the bot is [open source](https://github.com/ravener/osu-news-lemmy)
Just got my first 100pp play so I'm just happy and to keep this community alive with some posts somehow.

yeah that should be correct. the irreversible part probably emphasizes players who may be in a different country and still wants to represent their old country, peppy for example is in Japan but still keeps the Australian flag, so be careful not to do an unintended change. (otherwise you will have to take a 6 months long vacation to your old country to reverse it haha)
ravener 1y ago • 100%
well now it's truly abandoned, isn't it?
Great news for players who moved countries and was stuck with their old flags for a long time.
A skin contest is also going on and everyone gets 3 votes to use.

Everyone gets 15 votes to spend so make sure to vote.

You know what, maybe I could've made a general quotes forum for all anime. maybe I should consider that.
I was bored so a random project idea came up, I just felt like writing some code so here it is. Feel free to provide me with more quotes and help me grow the database.
40+ subscribers and yet no posts or much interaction, are you guys actually playing the game? show yourselves lurkers.

If you were lucky enough to be browsing the site at around 10am UTC you might have seen a down message!
I did notice that downtime for a bit, I guess I'm checking this website too much haha.

Yeah unfortunately it's Android only.

the dev is strong on the philosophy of keeping it free and open source. So it won't ever require subscription, which also partly what allowed reddit to give the exemption as a 'non commercial' app. As for how long it may last, I don't know, they were worried about this too, that a lot of 3rd party users would migrate to this app and reddit may change their mind.

I check reddit sometimes using RedReader which got an exemption from the API policies https://www.reddit.com/r/RedReader/comments/145du4j/update_4_redreader_granted_noncommercial/
Still though, who knows how long that may last, I can't imagine using reddit without 3rd party apps otherwise. I'm loving Lemmy so far and even RedReader seemed to have plans to support other platforms including Lemmy someday, so that's exciting.

no worries, it's all fine. It's good to learn from these type of mistakes early on before we grow too much, thank you for all your work, must be tough being a sysadmin.

yes a re-upload fixes it, I was just wondering if the images were corrupted on your side or something, hopefully not.

I noticed that some images wouldn't load for me, is that normal? Like going to my profile now I cannot see my profile picture/banner.

Actually Aki was brewing coffee in his morning routine that was shown in the anime.

I rarely downvote unless someone is being a literal idiot, and I like to see those comments being down and hidden with downvotes instead of letting them stand out like a normal comment. But that's for the really stupid comments.
There still are other valid scenarios like disagreeing on an opinion, helps to see where the majority are. (Imagine people not wanting downvotes so they downvote this post. haha)
Personally I'd advocate for downvotes to be there but it's also not the end of the world to not have them.

hmm, I don't see other users comments though, I did not even realize others have replied to this until I went to the original instance.
