Nintendo controllers 😬

My experience may be dated, but I've always had issues with controllers on Windows and Linux. Less so with Linux these days because my controllers are dated and the drivers are in the mainline kernel.
The biggest issue was solved with steam and it's controller interface / community layouts.

One of the goals of neovim was to introduce tools to build a GUI around vim. Imo the terminal is by far the best option, but there are some fun options. Neovide is an interesting one. Mostly because it doesn't do too much -- just eye candy.

A lot of posts in here complaining about shitty commercial radio. Do you all not have local radio stations? I love my local stations.

This is the second article I've read about someone getting trapped in a Tesla. It's a shame that a lot of people will opt to blame the user when this is obviously a stupid design decision by Tesla.

It weighs like 30 something pounds! I made a shitty dinghy protector thing with some cheap canvas. Very proud of it. 😁
I picked it up to do some canvas projects. Sews through 6 layers of canvas pretty easily! First simple thing I made (warning, pretty amateur sewing :) )

Anyone who thinks a person reviewing a product is on their side is a mark. The issues with LTT videos is so obvious in hindsight that it's hilarious that the fans haven't or refused to notice. I honestly thought being shitty and approachable was their schtick? The people who are incredibly upset are likely to stan Gamers Nexus until they eventually get called out by another tech outlet for similar shit. The drama is fun though.

Seconded! I had one gifted to me ages ago. Finally took it out of my car and into the kitchen. Love slicing up potatoes to make hash browns with it.

Interesting!
Another row could be useful, but I thought the default layout of the keyboardio Atreus was clever because the second layer put the number keys right under the right hand so it worked like a number pad. Another row for numbers would be useful for gaming though.

Funny, I haven't heard of either those. If three horizontal lines is a hamburger then it makes sense to me that three dots is a kebab 🙂

Yay!
There is an option to block the user who posted, but not the entire community.

I played both one and two when I was pretty young. My parents found gba games to be a lot cheaper on eBay. Turns out they were bootleg copies. Because of this the character transfer didn't work from one to two. I was pretty bummed about it. Still a fun series! Ragnarok!

It's going to be a lot smaller since it doesn't bundle a version of chromium in every build. Instead it uses the systems native web view. This does pose the problem of vendor specific rendering issues.. How snappy it feels is down to how the front-end programmed. It can still be a mess of bloated JavaScript 🙂

Could be a bug larvae. Like a little cacoon that attaches to things.

I have a fond memories of the game for sure! The world was really cool to explore and I did keep coming back to it. I think I got to the point where the combat became really easy -- I recall finding a way to almost cheese it.

Sort of a dumb reason, but imo, flying a spaceship is not really what the game is about and that's all I wanted to do. For example, I wanted something where I had to use orbital mechanics to dock with a station, but the powerful SciFi boosters in Elite Dangerous take all that fun away.

GTA for the Gameboy on the other hand, kinda rad.

I was really disappointed with this one. I tried it out per a friend's recommendation after they heard I was playing a freeware space flight simulator (Orbiter, which I do actually recommend).

Kingdom come deliverance. It was a rollercoaster. One of the first games I played after building a new computer. I progressed far enough and finally found that the combat was jank and the story was pretty garbage. Still have fond memories of the game though. Almost like the first time playing Oblivion 🙂.
Easy hike in the Pacific northwest. Spectacular view!
Pretty sure this isn't ultra light. Found in a retro(?) magazine from a thrift store
I don't know anything about mushrooms. Found these in my garden, Washington state (Puget sound)
Everytime I have to do something with a dns, subnet, general networking shenanigans. I get really lost. Are there any good books for self learning that won't put me to sleep?
Hey! Just curious if anyone has read this book. Also, in the beginning it mentions buying Nylon twine (36-48), double braided Dacron rope, and three strand spun Dacron rope. I went to my local West Marine and had trouble actually finding this stuff, it's a smaller store so maybe they didn't have it? Can anyone point me in the right direction to find this stuff?

I found out about it because of a hacker news comment discussing the Reddit drama. I'm pretty upset that I didn't discover it on Reddit. I assume any mention of Lemmy was marked as spam or was I just not browsing the right communities?
This boat has been anchored in this spot for about a month. Every time the tide goes out the boat sits on the mud. I've been curious if this is harming the boat anyway? Seems like a weird spot to anchor long term. ![](https://lemm.ee/api/v3/image_proxy?url=https%3A%2F%2Freddthat.com%2Fpictrs%2Fimage%2Fe4c69ea1-3af1-40f4-8b07-a23471fb8059.jpeg)
