I don't know, but in France people got scared by "HADOPI" which was a government organization to find people sharing files, and like they were sending you e-mails if caught! And if caught a second time, BAM a paper letter! Scary! Then I think there was something like cutting your internet, not sure it ever happened.

I have my locales set on en-UK because I prefer to have English versions, easier to troubleshoot problems

I wish I could set it as en-FR for other things, like metric system and 24h clock, but you can't

  • Hello everyone! I'm trying to figure out what is wifi mesh exactly and can't really find answers. I'm wondering if it's a real tech or just a nomination, example: if I'm setting up multiple old wifi routers on the same local network with DHCP turned off (except on the main of course) and just put the same SSID and passphrase on all of them: could we call it a mesh wifi or does the technology really add something to it? I made my parents buy some TP-LINK Deco wifi mesh routers for their property ^(which I regret now because openwrt is not compatible but that's a other story) and I don't really see any difference from them and the basic wifi repeater(cable) I've put in a last dead zone. ![](https://lemm.ee/api/v3/image_proxy?url=https%3A%2F%2Fsh.itjust.works%2Fpictrs%2Fimage%2F340145f4-c287-40e5-91f9-8f478cb091b9.webp) Here's what android sees

quick question for the community: As a non English native I wonder if there is a keyboard on Android with a build-in dictionary (definitions of words) to check if the word I'm using is the good one without having to stop writing and checking on my browser I would prefer this rather than a translator as it's seams to be a better way to improve my learning than just translating words from my native language

I wonder if there is a way to mark a post as read so it doesn't appear anymore in the main thread just like when you upvote/downvote it? (with the hide read posts option enabled) Sometimes I just don't want to vote because I don't have much opinion on the quality of the post or if it's the same post just another @instance

If I downvote it the counter fall back to 0 and the total (sumup) loose one vote: ![](https://sh.itjust.works/pictrs/image/97b6cc74-c5e7-4f16-841f-4d027221ae24.webp)

Like a lot of people here, I'm coming from the rexodus and I was just wondering if we still have to lynch people using emojis in their comments? Just trying to build my personality to fit this new community! Don't mind explaining why, a yes or no will be enough, I'm not capable of any thoughts process anyway thanks in advance for the answer.
