90s TV
On Saturdays, the community is welcomed and encouraged to post Saturday Morning Cartoons. Contributions can be in any format you'd like. Some suggestions might include: - Episodes of your favorite cartoons growing up. - Cartoon intros or theme songs. - Full network programming blocks of cartoons. - Toy commercials as would have been seen on Saturday mornings. Do not worry about time zones. If it's Saturday for you, then go for it. Get creative, get involved, and most importantly... get nostalgic!
Stay tuned until the end for the iconic scene of Dave and Kurt tearing up their gear live on stage.
This intro is so iconic and nostalgic for me. What a groundbreaking show this was, particularly that first season.
Ghostwriter is a children's mystery television series created by Liz Nealon and produced by Children's Television Workshop (now known as Sesame Workshop) and BBC Television. The series revolves around a multiethnic group of friends from Brooklyn who solve neighborhood crimes and mysteries as a team of youth detectives with the help of a ghost named Ghostwriter. Ghostwriter can communicate with children only by manipulating whatever text and letters he can find and using them to form words and sentences.
We haven't done one of these in a while.
I once dated a woman who looked like PoF era Neve Campbell. It was a shining moment in my life.
Recent Funhole content made me think of this routine.
I can still smell it.
A recent !funhole@lemmy.sdf.org post reminded me of this commercial.
One more TCC episode tonight, because they are so good.
I hate Barbara Walters, but... what are ya gonna do. It's a historically relevant 90s interview.
> KITH Street Singers from Season 3 Episode 9 (1992). Extracted from another video on YouTube that was out of sync and had weak volume.
> Episode is Season 3, Episode 1 "To Mend and Defend". This recording is from a VHS tape from 2002.
I still need this series set on LaserDisc for my collection.
God this show was great, even if / *especially* because sometimes it became a live action cartoon. Sadly, it has never been released on DVD. I don't even know if re-runs are still running. If you preferred the opening with ["5 O'Clock World" by The Vogues](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L3wMesI8aiw), I got you fam: **Edit**: How could I forget about the original [Moon Over Parma](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N9tMalvxiiM)
I've never actually watched this, just stumbled on it streaming last night. It looks so damn bad, but I'm gonna give it a shot. This intro is 🔥 though.
Real ones will remember this.
