I guess in reality, a NSFW instance could probably also host SFW.
But it's less likely that someone running a SFW would want the additional headache of hosting NSFW.

The reason for this (imv), is that hosting for general and nsfw communities are very different kettles of fish.
For general communities, you want lots of consideration, nuance, and nudging when moderating and setting what is acceptable content. As this helps to gradually build positive self regulating communities.
For NSFW, you have to be hair trigger deleting stuff, or you just end up hosting horrible shit.
I have respect for the guys willing to deal with hosting NSFW content, because it's more than I'd ever be comfortable with!

That doesn't sound very typical.

The way to tell so often seems to be if someone has called it AI or Machine Learning.
AI? "I put this through chatgpt" (or "The media department has us by the balls")
ML? "I crunched a huge amount of data in a huge amount of ways, and found something interesting"

The trick with visiting Paris (other than "don't"), is to stay in a small commuter town, then get the train in to see the interesting things.

That was my thought. Just a guy taking a nice photo before an event he dressed smartly for.

Same here. Kinda crazy that it's releasing so fast on home media, but I get it.
Going by the reviews, it has a good chance of being a family favourite, so getting it out the door for xmas makes sense.
I'm also refusing to watch the trailer, surprises are fun!

IIRC, the reason it wasn't previously taxed, is that it would have opened up writing off gambling losses against tax.
Don't quote me, obv.
So maybe it would need a lot of other tax law changing at the same time, to not end up encouraging people accidentally the other way.

It's like if you went to church, and the vicar said:
"You know what? I don't fancy delivering this sermon with moral guidance. Lets just sing 10 hymns in a row."

You'd need steel chestnuts to even attempt such a thing!

The only thing I can see really shifting it, is people saying they'll support trump to stay in with their communities, then making excuses why they stayed home on election day.
And if I'm honest, that's a hell of a hail mary pass.

It's also entirely possible that the shriek was for comic effect, but the serious people in the room took it seriously.
"Remarkable! There is an invisible force-field around my dinner!"

My plan is to buy something Valetudo compatible, and have it all run in network.
I try really hard to stick to the policy of "if it needs internet access to operate, I won't install it on the house"

There are some in the datahoarder community pushing a PB.
They mostly store Linux ISOs.

I guess when you have double-height rooms, you have to use that space for something.

z-wave may be easier than expected, as I think the devices stay linked to the hardware dongle used. (This is just from memory, mind!). But if you need to change the dongle, perhaps less fun.
imo, it will be a bit of pain to get everything inside HA, but once it's done, you'll be inside a platform that is pretty open, and commonly used, with lots of other people (hopefully) posting up solutions to problems before you encounter them!
And because it's software that will run on pretty much anything, you have the reassurance that even if something crazy happened, you could just reinstall an old version.
If it were me, I'd clear an entire weekend day, power off the old kit, and work away at getting HA controlling everything.

I was impressed by this! As the resident person who carefully takes creepy-crawlies outside, this is great to see.
*Following Mr Farage's claim that he had been advised not to hold in-person surgeries by the Speaker's Office, the Commons Speaker Sir Lindsay Hoyle said he would advise MPs to take advice from parliament's security team and "do so safely" if they asked him for advice on holding surgeries.*
Anybody else on here on the 3D train? Having recently finished setting up the projector (bin rescue), screen (£20, gumtree), and working out the glasses required (£20, eBay), I finally got my first taste of home shutterglass 3D. We watched Pirates!, as I happened to have the disc in 3D already. 3D lends itself well to Aardman's models and physical sets. I like 3D best when it's like looking through a window, or onto a stage. It also turned out that my steelbook of The Hobbit contained the 3D copy too. We're only 30 mins through it, but there are some nice shots (I particularly liked the one of Bilbo watching Gandalf through the window) I checked with CEX, and 3D discs are now mostly quite reasonably priced. So we went and bought about 70% of the local branch's stock, for the princely sum of £20.* While yes, it is a novelty, and a bit of a gimmick at times...It's fun. And gives me a bonus inexpensive collectable hobby! **(Pro-tip: If you're going to do similar, go when it's not busy, and apologise to them in advance. The 3D discs are all mixed in with the standard ones, and the poor guys spent about 20 minutes hunting)*
Someone looted Lush. "Don't worry darling, I got something for you"
And it is delicious. After the nearest outlet shut its doors, and facing a walk of almost 800m (!) to the next closest, I decided to try Aldi's not-greggs-but-basically-is. And honestly...They're not half bad. We tried the rolls, chicken, and steak bakes. They're about 1/4 of the price. And live in the freezer. Ideal. _This post was not supported or sponsored by Aldi.
