The way I see it, if a restaurant can't provide a living wage and also provide reasonably priced food, then the restaurant is being run poorly and the money is not being managed properly.

I've never been to a restaurant with fees and if I ever found one, I wouldn't be going there. I rarely eat out anymore at all though. High prices for mediocre food and mediocre service keep me away.

Media needs to stop calling these accidents. There are multiple preventable things that took place before this happened. This is negligence.

The bench in the background isn't like that. You would think it they were trying to prevent someone from sleeping there, it would be that way too.

It's fine to say you don't like a movie but to state a movie is bad when of broke box office records is ignorant. Obviously a lot of people thought it was good.

Sorry, when I say good games I mean games that I find to be good. There have been games that are popular that I have no interest in. I also find games to be too expensive.

I haven't bought a video game in years. It's just been garbage after garbage. The market is saturated with so much shit that I don't even care to play games anymore.

I'm sure Google contactless payment works really well when the phone is dead. Or you drop your phone in a toilet or off a bridge. It's far easier to loose a phone than a card in a wallet in your pocket. If you lose your phone, you also lose access to all your money.

At the price of the Pixel 8a, I would suggest getting the Pixel 8 instead.

There should be a tax incentive for voting or something
I currently have a ring doorbell that I pay a yearly fee for but I want to get away from Amazon and a subscription fee. I would prefer if it used the Wi-Fi and it was able to connect with my house doorbell. Edit: I'd also like to add that I would like it to have the ability to stream and record video.
Apps like Temu or TokTok. Or those cheap electronic devices where you have to download a questionable app and register an account. What exactly is being stolen and what is being done with it? Who is doing it? Why?
I just found out about it. Open Source messaging. It seems intriguing although I'm not sure I would have much to do with it. I honestly can't find too much information about it except for the website and a few YouTube videos. I was just curious if anyone has had experience with it.
I've searched and it seems that information is limited. I have a mini PC in my office not doing anything and would like to make it into a proper Lemmy server. It seems a bit involved and while I'm technically inclined it's over my head. I already have a domain but I have absolutely no idea where to go from here.
