    I can just see this.

Family hugging. Tears. Smiles. Well wishes.

    Security: Move along people!

Large, kind kiwi bloke, with the sweetest voice: Bro! We're saying goodbye to our mother! Comon bro! Chill.

    Ignore security. Keep hugging.

    As they should.

  • Is there any scientific basis on "taste creep?" Example: you've eaten lots of good food and now average food that you used to enjoy grosses you out.

No science. But I have this with wine. If it's not good wine, I'd usually rather just skip it. Wine snob they say. However, I'm there for the quality, and if it's not there, neither am I.

Actually, you are correct. A small brie, or Camembert styled cheese. I would have liked to add yellow to the cheese, however, it's ink only, and I have no yellow inks.

What is the maximum image file size I can upload here?

Whenever I try and upload an image, it does not work. Somebody reminded me recently that if you resize the image and make the file size smaller, it will work. I'm wondering if anybody knows what the actual file size is as a maximum that I can upload? Rather than just wing it, I would like to create a script that will create the appropriate file size. I don't want to be greedy and use up heaps of resources, but I'd like to find what the happy balance is and make sure it works within the limits of the system. Thank you so much.

Hi all, I am about to do a bit of a distro hop, and I am looking at Fedora and its spins, after years on Debian / POP. I am not looking forward to setting it all up again, it's a drag. I wonder, is there a tool that lets me script installs? I'll want to check if application exists, and if so, update, otherwise, install. That kind of thing. Things like: - Telegram - Joplin - Docker - Firefox - Ungoogle Chromium - Sublime Text - VSCodium - Keepass - Thunderbird - DBeaver - Gimp - Inkscape - KDENLive - Syncthing - Steam - VLC - Localsend - Flameshot - Element - Cherrytree - Calibre - Anydesk I show the list, only to give an idea of what might be involved. I'm new to Fedora, so not sure how it differs beyond the package manager. But, thought I'd ask. Does such a tool exist, and is it worth my time? I can practice on a VM before trying on the final install/s. Thank you

In town for a few months. Been watching the tap on rates on the trams. I'm going to hazard an approximation of about 20% of people are actually tapping on. Maybe 30% at a stretch. Surely if they did a Brisbane, and dropped it to 50c or even $1, then most everyone would tap. There comes a point , when things are affordable rnough, that it's not worth the risk / anxiety. At current pricing it's obviously still worth the risk. I can only imagine if the 70% or so that are not paying, paid $1, that there'd be more money in the system.
